What to Expect at the Dominos Open on 4th of July
It is a common fact that the Fourth of July is always an awesome time to throw a party for one and all. Whether it is you having your family over, your friend’s families or your own kids getting together, throwing a great party on the Fourth of July is something that many people find fulfilling. If you have been looking for ideas and tried to organize everything by the weekend, then you might want to reconsider. The thing is, throwing a party on the Fourth of July requires much more work than throwing a similar-sized party on any other day of the year. In fact, you might just need some serious help to pull off a successful party.
In order to make sure that your Independence Day party is fun-filled and not a huge disaster, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that there are enough games for everybody. Most kids will be intrigued with a mixture of board games and musical chairs. But, you can also try playing some sports like horseshoes, console and even football if the weather is nice.
Now, since Independence Day is a national holiday in the United States, it would be a good idea for you to include food into your mix. You can serve hot dogs and hamburgers, if you really want to go all out. However, if you are not so hungry, you can always serve cold salads and finger sandwiches. The kids will definitely love getting their favorite fruit or cookie treats, but it is not a good idea to overdo it as the kids tend to eat and run around too much.
Now, since kids love to take pictures and you probably want to show them how happy they are on the Fourth of July, why not make your party a photo booth? That is right, a photo booth at your children’s birthday bash. What a great way to not only capture the moment, but to share it with the kids. What better way to get them all excited than to let them have their picture taken with their favorite American heroes, or their own hometown heroes? It is a very touching moment and something the kids will cherish forever. Plus, you can always have fun telling the kids stories about the pictures taken with their favorite stars.
Now, if indoor activities are more your style, then you may want to consider video games or fishing. These provide plenty of fun for everyone, both the older and the younger attendees. Plus, this is a great way to break up the ice between the older and younger attendees. After all, having fun is one of the primary motivations parents give for attending such an event.
One last thing that you need to think about is making sure everyone has a great time at your open house. Remember, you are trying to get parents and kids to come together and spend time with each other. As hard as it may be, you want to show them that the family is actually made up of more than just mom and dad. The kids will feel this, and it may make them feel closer to their own family in a very big way.
