One of the most exciting things that happened during the 4th of July is when fireworks went off in the Independence Square. This was a very big deal for all Americans and was probably one of the largest fireworks displays that has ever taken place. Fireworks are a tradition in many countries around the world and it was just as much an occasion to celebrate in America as it was in other countries. People were busy taking pictures and videos of this amazing display. The fire was beautiful and it created a very unique atmosphere.
Many people were afraid to visit Independence Square because they were worried about the crowds and what would happen to them after the fireworks went off. There were rumors that the police were being hostile toward the crowd, which just added to more anxiety. However, no one was harmed or arrested during the fireworks display. This only added to the all the excitement. No one could get enough of the spectacular display and they just had to share in it.
There was a very large police presence in the area and many people were just watching for their chance to get into the festivities. They enjoyed the fireworks and the atmosphere. Many American expats took advantage of the live bands that were hired and they held their parties at the American Legion home site. It turned out to be a great place to hold a party because there was never any late alcohol or drugs.
Water fountains were everywhere and there were also great exhibits all over town. The exhibits were devoted to everything from the Spanish Settlement to the history of the Revolution. Many local merchants were selling fireworks at half prices. It was an awesome way to celebrate the Independence Day with minimal expenses.
The bars were open until well into the evening and many of the local restaurants stayed open until past midnight. It was a great place to enjoy the Independence Day celebration and meet friends. Restaurants usually put out huge fireworks display on this day. You could see them all over town. Many people enjoyed watching the fireworks and staying until the wee hours of the morning to enjoy the show.
I recommend going to Gatlinburg if you are able to. If not, then look into some of the other places for fireworks. This would be a great place to spend the day with your family. You will enjoy every minute of it.
