There was a time not too long ago when I went to the Universal Studios Lodge in Los Angeles to enjoy a family reunion and my kids were very excited. I knew that there would be something fun to do on this day so we planned a trip to the old section of the park known as the Movie World. The old section was the actual set of the old horror films including The Shining, Dracula and The Exorcist. This is a fun place with tons of haunted houses, pools and rides.
The first half hour or so is typically reserved for attractions that are outdoors, although there are still lots of indoors things to do in the evening. We were going to go to the Witches spell and fair. It’s located right next to the Toy Story Land. That’s where the cars are from. They take you back in time to when the witches first started creating magic. It has lots of awesome props and a very realistic-looking witch.
It’s also a great place to eat because it offers great food deals. You get the all natural food you would expect. There are cool platters with all sorts of different treats. For an extra added treat they will blow your little mind with some interactive demos. Kids love to show off their own toys. Everyone loves to get a look at all the amazing creations that are all over the place.
Throughout the afternoon we had planned to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is one of the biggest attractions that the Magic Kingdom has to offer. You get to see the coolest rides from the ground up. There are also a lot of great shows featuring characters from the wizarding world. Kids love these and the fun atmosphere are unbelievable.
Finally we decided to take a trip to Epcot Center. It’s like Disney World, but all the fun and entertainment are on the other side of the park. It feels almost like being on another planet. The experience here is like no other. There are lots of interactive experiences and lots of neat things to see.
If you have the chance to go to Orlando during the summer then I suggest you do. It is truly one of the greatest vacation experiences you’ll ever have. The weather is perfect, the crowds are mild, and there are so many great things to do. You should totally plan to go during the four days leading up to July fourth. You won’t regret it!
