Here is something that the federal government does not recognize as a holiday. However, as Americans, being a people of sound mind and function, we decided to do the very thing that makes as American. We made a way where there was none, and we turned this into a holiday we would all celebrate whether the government likes it or not.

The calendar year is not something that is particularly geared towards giving us the things that we crave most; companionship. That’s the very reason why families come together during the holidays. A group of people who have something in common between them but the calendar just has to get in the way.

What that means is that a good amount of the year, you will have to spend your time away from home, away from the people you love. While this is necessary for you to have the life that you want, it’s just not the ideal thing for you, especially when you have small children.

The good thing is throughout the year, you will get a god number of opportunities to spend time with your family. This can be on federally approved holidays such as Independence Day, or during that time just before Christmas where you get to carve up turkeys and exercise gluttony for all the good that has happened to you all year.

Yes, Thanksgiving is a magical time, you get to share a meal with the people closest to you, but it usually is just a precursor for the big one of the year. Well, that is highly dependent on your view point at that time of the year. The snow sets in and you know it’s time to celebrate Christmas with your family.

The year may have been good to you, that’s why you wanted to enjoy your Thanksgiving and your Christmas, and you generally didn’t want the year to end. For others, you may have had a torrid year, and could wait to countdown until the end of the year and start the year afresh, without regrets or heartbreak.

And then, it was April.

Well, the days went by and you wanted the new year to be exactly what you had chalked it up to be. And luckily it is. Now Easter is here, and you want to spend some more time with your family. That Easter weekend is going to be amazing.

Thing is, with all the work that you’ve been doing, you just do’t have the time to go slving in the kitchen to come up with the delicious meals that you always make. You do, however, have a favorite restaurant chain; Applebee’s.

Question is, will they be allowing you to go get your favorite meal at one of their outlests over the Easter weekend, or will they be closed?
