Home Depot is one of the many home improvement centers in our country. They offer not only major home improvement products, but hardware and house wares as well. However, they do not allow dogs on the premises. Although this might be a rule with other home improvement centers, it is not with Home Depots.
The reason they don’t allow dogs on their premises is that the risk for injury is great. It’s not like other commercial businesses that have lots of injured employees. However, you can’t really blame them. If someone was going to get hurt at their store, they would rather see a person get hurt at a place that doesn’t allow dogs on the premises. It’s just the way it works.
Another problem is the fact that many people aren’t aware that they even need a permit to bring their dog onto the premises. This makes it possible for an unlicensed dog to wander around the store and create a lot of trouble. Even without a license, some cities have regulations against dogs on the property. These regulations vary from city to city, so it is best to check with your local city council before bringing your dog onto the property.
Home Depot is also very pet friendly. There are numerous opportunities to play with your dog. If your dog gets bored, they have several toys and games to play with. Plus, if you choose to take your dog on the bus, there is plenty of places for them to go where there are other dogs, such as parks and other areas in the mall.
The one thing that I noticed about this company is that they treat all of their employees well. Before I saw them, I had given several co-workers gifts in the past. Their friendly employees were pleasant and did not shout or scream at anyone. The only negative comment I heard was from one customer who told me that she thought the employees overcharged her for her dog’s collar.
I definitely recommend checking out Home Depot if you have a question about your dog. They truly care about animals and make sure that they go about their business in a humane way. You will not be disappointed when you bring your new dog home. In fact, you may find that having your dog at Home Depot has made you love your job!
