4th Of July Activities In Sarasota
The IS Labcorp Open on 4th of July is an upcoming four-day professional golf tournament held in Sarasota, Florida. In the tradition of the Masters Tournament, the IS Labcorp Open will feature some of the best pros in the game competing for the trophy. Featured in the tournament are Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, and Adam Scott. This is the first time that these four have been joined together. Also joining forces are Steve Elkington, Bobby Jones, Brian Barnes, and Matt Duchene.
The event is scheduled to begin on Saturday, with a morning breakfast presented by Bobby Jones. Following this, there will be four days of competition from Sunday to Wednesday. Each day will feature a different player. The player that advances to the final round will receive the title of “Champion”.
The tournament is played at the St. Regis Lodge, which is one of the finest golf courses in Sarasota. The course is designed to play to a par 7 golf course layout. There are nine holes total with five requiring the player to hit a putt. For those that wish to practice their putting skills, there are two practice greens located on the premises.
There is a tee time for each player each day. The field will be filled throughout the entire tournament based upon their position in the rankings. There are also divisions within each division as well as club affiliation. There is an overall champion along with individual club champions for each division. There is also a super tournament, which is comprised of the division winners and the players with the most career earnings at the time.
The fees for this tournament is based upon the level of participation. Those that play in the professional or higher divisions will pay a slightly higher fee than the rest of the field. There is an option to buy a gold club membership, which allows players to register and play for either a set fee or a set amount per game. During the entire year, there are also tournaments for those above a certain level of income.
While many people think of St. George as the city where the Olympic games were held, it is actually the home of the Locolor Factory, which is the oldest operating chocolate factory in America. The Locolor Factory tours are available all year round and there are special events held to celebrate the company every year. Other than the chocolate factory, there is a lot to see and do in Sarasota. The local wildlife population is excellent to look at and there are dolphin programs where the dolphins swim and feed in the bay. The marine habitat is protected by the National Park Service. There are also over forty museums, including four world-class museums, the Florida Museum of Natural History, the Everglades Museum, and the Pensacola Museum of Art.
